What Is an Email Funnel?
An email funnel is a planned path from one subscriber state to another—such as new subscriber to informed prospect or new customer to activated user.

Start with the state change
Define what the person knows or has done before the journey and what should be true afterward.
Use only necessary steps
Each message should solve a real information or action gap. More emails do not automatically create a better funnel.
Combine automation and judgment
Automate predictable transitions, but allow room for regular newsletters and human-led communication.
Measure the real outcome
Track the action the funnel exists to support rather than optimizing every intermediate metric independently.
